SPM 2010 (Week 2): Takeoff with Slight Flight Turbulence

So, hey guys! It's been another exhausting week, but as I write this, SPM is now coming to an end and... hell yeah, I'm glad!!! During the off days though, there was a rumour going around saying that all the candidates would have to resit the BM exam due to the leaked q's I wrote about in my first review!!! The reception: hostile.... and I include myself in that number. I mean, here you are working your but off for the rest of the SPM and they go "We may have to ask all of you to resit your BM exam due to technical mistakes"... hate that line.... kesilapan teknikal... But before I refocus to next week, let's take a look at the week that was... and yup, it was just as eventful as Week 1...

Day 4: Modern Math
Well, when I woke up on monday, I kinda felt hangover-ed... must hv been from my dose of relaxation over the weekend... I mean I earned it! Hey, need i go over last week again? No? Good. So back to this week. Arrived at school early as usual, and just went over some last minute stuff... Paper 1 finished soon enough but I hv to confess, I had a slow start... I mean half an hour was gone and I was just at q16... outta 40... but the ones at the back were easy enough.. so on to Paper 2! And yup, no controversy here... Just a breeze through and Modern Math was over... 40% of SPM completed... =DDD

Day 5: Moral
Just when i thought memorising had ended with History, along comes Moral, with all its nilai's and definitions and keywords and formula jawapan's.... no prob here... but, a slight bump at the end, when my paper was collected... the invigilator had refused to accept my attachment on the OFFICIAL SPM helaian tambahan... i mean, what the hell??? just shut up and take it, i didn't steal it i asked it from that other invigilator over there... and she went like 'i dunno, i'm menopausing, so i hv a bad temper, so live with it.... and i dont noe if they're gonna accept your paper..." n i'm like stop being such a wussy, just tell the head invigilator... and she went' i dunno, i dunno...' well if you don't noe then just shut the **** up, ass!!! but i didn't say it... then i wouldnt be respecting the day's subject... so moving on... half the SPM was over and i felt thankful.... but looking ahead, i knew there was a looooooongggg way to go....

Day 6: Add Math
Now, off all the remaining subjects, Add Math was the one i was most fond off... It's like your pet dog... with rabies, so ur always careful of when its gonna bite... but caring for it with tlc at the same time... But i'm engineering material, a petrolhead, with aerodynamics buzzing around my head on an F1 weekend... tires, engines, Top Gear... and Ferrari.... ahh, my kind of entertainment... so, where were we... ummm,yeah... so... Add Math... right... Now, of all my time of doing Add Math, this was the most 2 sided paper 1 ever... part 1 was up till Q20 which i finished in an hour.... so then i sorta went into cruise mode but uh-oh... wrong call... the last 5 Q's were uber tricky... I had to put my best foot forward again... and for all my early cruising... i finished 5 minutes from time... so much for an easy paper... but there was an easy paper... Paper 2 was like a dream, and up till now, that paper is the very reason why I rank Add Math as my best paper of SPM... seeriously good paper and i couldn't wait till the nx day.....

Day7: Physics
.... which was the total opposite... physics 1 was smooth, and i felt gud.... and then I called lpc, my ttn physics teacher, which was kinda like the wrong move to make... he gave us Q's which weren't coming out so that we, his ttn students, would screw our friends, his non-ttn students, up... only thing we gt screwed up as well... but thankfully, with the sole exception of section C i pulled through paper 2, and at the end of it I suffered my first morale drop of SPM... but i had to rally myself for paper 3, which was good... cause what lpc said did come out... and he was lucky it did... else, i'm gonna.... and that ass invigilator was back again, this time not allowing me to borrow a long ruler from my friend... ok, this was my fault for not bringing mine in but what about the' if ur not prepared, why bother taking the exam' line she told me.... why, i oughta.... i'm the one taking the exam here, while ur the one acting all shitty and getting paid so (in the wise words of smosh) SHUT UP!!! well moving on... when i looked back and gave it some thought... it wasn't that bad... and after all, it was physics, my second fav pet... with a slightly more serious rabie problem.... whatever, im gonna stop comparing my subjects to pet dogs now... and yeah, after the rest of the day off, I'm back on the prowl for straight A+'s....

So well, that was Week 2, highly eventful, emotionally charged as we had to attempt up to 3 pprs a day... particularly so, if you had an ass invigilator on your tail... I'm gonna refer to her as AI from now on, for ass invigilator... all in favour of AI?good. So yeah that's my Week 2 review, and check back next week for Week 3 and my story on it... I've got chemistry, bio and accounts still to come so i'm not gonna be bored to death, nononono... far from it... So 'till next week, take care, and if ur an SPM candidate.... pls pass me any tips u get.... and... yup, that's it... lol, kidding... seriously... Good luck and take care... =}

Lev's rating: 7A+'s baby!!! Time to complete my Grand Slam!!!

SPM 2010 (Week 1): Smooth Taxi - Sorta

Well, hi! It's nice to be back, especially after my last post was during the World Cup (YES!!! Viva la Espana!!!) But fast forward through the rest of July, August, September (trials were awesome!! =DDD), October and the first 22 days of November, and we've arrived at the day - SPM!!! So this will be my first of three reviews, as we progress through SPM. So this week I had Bahasa Melayu, English and ( drum roll please) History a.k.a SE-JA-RAH!!!!! So let's begin...

Day 1: BM
I got up on tuesday, smiling like a maniac for I don't no what reason. I mean I knew SPM was gonna start on that day, and I felt strangely upbeat... Showered, then prayed extra-long for good luck and mainly cuz I wanted to take my mind off things... Went to school, my head still buzzing with 'good lucks' from phone calls the previous night... Thank God I had Darshin to talk to on my way in... Both of us quite nostalgic (yeah, right) as this would be our last BM paper... But once it began, enough with the nostalgia, time to focus... Banged on my karangan both short and long... and then I went off to my tuition at Pn. Manjit's... She graciously allowed us to attend one final revision class and then there was a call... Holy crap, I was praying so hard that it was 'THE CALL' where someone calls and gives you the confirmed list of what's gonna come out (only for the KOMSAS) ... And ooooo myyy GAWD it was!!! I was friggin ecstatic, like a vibrating dufus or sumthin as we discussed all the possible Q&A... Now, this was good, but it was really fast and by the time I had digested it, I was tying up my papers to be handed in... What can I say? It was the perfect opening and I yearned for more... But this was only day one... the big boys hadn't arrived yet...

Day 2: English
Wednesday morning. Time to make the Queen proud. After basically doing whatever I did yesterday morn, I arrived at school. Flipped thru' my notes for English and, like BM, the exam began at 8 am... It was the essays up first and went pretty well, only thing was I kinda rushed for my 2nd essay... But it ended well, no worries... After a 45 minute break, we had Paper 2, which was very good considering I only did sum serious study the day b4... but at the end of day 2 i knew, so far so good ('so far' it was only the languages and 'so good' only meant no sejarah... yet.)

Day 3: History
you can do this, you can do this... the 'sorta' in the main title comes in cause of this...5 hrs and 31 minutes on, I still can't believe that there will be no more sejarah... no more.... the day started happily enough, paper 1 being rather easy so I felt kinda relieved... but then there was paper 2... and that one hour interval btwn the papers felt like a second... so here's the thing abt paper 2: 4 structure questions all compulsory, 5 essay questions choose 3... the first two structured questions brilliant, question 3... not perfect but great.. question 4... half marks??? I dunno but whatever it is that last question was bullshit... i never expected that topic to be questioned, I mean like what the hell??? you spot 50 topics and number 51 comes out... shit... moving on, the essays were numbers 5, 6, 7, 8 & 9... 5 was awesome, confident of a perfect 20... skipped question 6 & 7... had no idea especially question 7... same case like question 4... damn... but this was optional... so i read question 8 and i think a 18 or 19 maybe even a 20 is possible... question 9 was tricky... i mean it wasn't my fav topic, globalisation but i read it and a score above 15 is possible... so all in all, sejarah was not so bad, and now i feel like guilty cuz i was always at loggerheads with the subject i hated for the last 5 years... so bading it farewell, all nostalgic and missing the good old times felt wierd.... but hell no am i going down the history road again... nope history, like its namesake, is history...

So, that's my first week of SPM which i'll never go thru' again... for all its worth, bm, english and sejarah were exceptional this week, and hv always been in different ways... but now it's done, like my review as we get ready for math, both modern and add, as well as physics and moral (bluek...) My nx review will be out in a week, so be sure to check back then... till then, adios!!!

Lev's rating: 3A+'s in the bag... time to get another 7... =DDD

Going into archive... for now... :)

Well, hi there. I know, it's been a while and sad to say it's gonna still be a tiny bit longer. After a fair bit of thinking, I have made a decision to set my blog into an archive state. Yes, it will still be online and yes, it will still be accessible but I will not add any new updates, pix or notes although it may be done in a moment of emergency or when a "sudden stroke of inspiration hits' me... =). Of course I have not enjoyed the ability to completely utilise my blog since I started it at the end of '09. And if you give me a moment I will explain why.

It's my final schooling year, and for all you non-Malaysians, it also (unfortunately) means SPM year. SPM is THE 'big daddy' of the examination system in our country. I'll be taking a whooping 10 subjects, the maximum number allowed so this was never intended to be a walk in the park. And although it only begins officially on the 22nd of November 2010, it's time to kick everything into high gear and after a rather dissappointing mid-term, the neccesity to perform to my full potential in the trials is of utmost importance, as it should be for all exam candidates. My Facebook account has been deactivated and my Twitter has not been updated since Christmas (true fact!).

I am not trying to brag or show off, but in order for me to gain confidence and experience to pass my SPM in flying colours, I now bade goodbye to Blogger for a large majority of the year's remaining days. I do hope that I will continue to grow from strength to strength, in time for my SPM and reactivate my Blogger account in the succeding 3 months of holiday after the SPM. I may also redesign the blogsite and be more active as I head into my tertiary education. But for now, the lights will dim on my blog and social networking sites, as I prepare for the Great Finale, SPM. Wish me luck and take care everyone! God Bless, Viva Espana!!! ( I hope they do win the World Cup! ;] )
