2011: Mind over Matter

Hey all! Now before I start rambling, Happy New Year! 2010 was in many ways a landmark year for me. For example, it was my last year of school, I had SPM to contend with (By the way, sry for neglecting my 3rd SPM review. I will post it soon! its just that i was exposed to sooo many more destress ways after SPM that i kept on postponing, yes i became lazy, this final part but hey, for all i know, i'm the only one reading my blog! lol, just kidding, noseriously) and there was the World Cup besides it being the year that would seperate school and life beyond, for me personally. As I type this, January 2nd 2011 is just about over if you are in the GMT+8 zone... or the time zones after. But in a way, I'm super glad 2011 is here cause a fresh start is just what i need after a roller coaster 2010... there's like no link between the start and end of 2010. And i feel its gonna stay the same in 2011... oh well...

So, today, i'm gonna do something different by bringing a book i'm reading now, Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol. Most of you who've read it would understand my title today. If you are a fan of the Da Vinci Code or Angels and Demons then step up, this one's for you. But behind all these cheap publicity, I actually wanna share some food for the thought, a perfect way to start 2011. Stick with me, things are gonna get complicated but i assure you, it'll be worth it..

As a prologue, let me introduce The Law of Attraction. This law states that every thought we send out to the universe, gets sent back to us, manifested in the physical form. For example, if we focus hard enough on getting a bicycle, we'll end up getting a bicycle. For stuff that involve action or effort, for example, scoring in an exam, our thoughts of scoring straight a's spurs us on to study harder. Think about it as the Principle of Conservation of Energy and Newton's third law of motion mixed up. Get it? Our thoughts are energy which is why they are able to be read in the CAT scan as brainwaves! this form of energy transforms form into what we want, not immediately, but gradually... because energy cannot be created or destroyed but it can change form. Pretty cool huh? For those of you who have read The Secret, this stuff is elementary for you... yet completely mind blowing to human nature...

So back to The Lost Symbol. According to the author, many of our modern day discoveries are actually stuff from way back before the BC era... But ppl could not comprehend them. However, stuff like polarity and universal dimensions can be found in ancient religious scriptures. Fascinating. Moving on. Another thing stated in the book is the 'Mind Over Matter' theory... which means that our thoughts control everything, from the rate of plant growth to formation of ice structures... all our thoughts as energy have a gravitational pull on things. Now, what do all these stuff have to do with the new year? It states here, quite clearly, that we control our fate. Not horoscopes, or palm readings or Paul the Octopus (R.I.P)... As i (sorta) said earlier, humans of years before have realised this connections but it fizzed out throught our Earth's timeline... Now, there is a change coming.. ppl want to take control, they want to have more enriching lives, but are unsure, how to. The field of Scinces and Religion have finally agreed on something... after many years of being at loggerheads... and when i say religion, i mean it.

Think of God as the universe. Whatever name we call Him, we always pray for stuff we want, stuff we hope for and etc. we channel all our emotions, praying for a miracle. this then reroutes you to, the law of attraction, and when you end up getting what you want, u believe it is God's gift! For a matter of fact, it is, mainly because, u asked for it! u then show some thanks to Him, through prayer or a donation to holy places... See? we are caught in an intricate web that controls our very lives and we who actually hv control over it are completely oblivious to this fact.

So, all in all, remember, your fate and destiny rests in your hands. If you are gonna have a superb 2011, then prepare yourself for it. focus on gettin all the gr8 stuff in life, but don't expect it immediately, that would be stupid.... not to mention, immature.... but gv it time to manifest in your lives. If somone throws up shit in your face, take it as a challenge and start refocusing your thougts on makin things better... never bring yourself down by focusing on ruining someone's life cuz that'll just bring you down, morally and ethically... remember, mind over matter... your thoughts are stronger than you think... use them well, and may the power protect you... so, good luck and hope you have a blessed 2011!
